Kevin McClellan, with the help of many talented collaborators, has directed every Broadway Kidz since 1998.
He is currently the drama teacher at East High School. He has a bachelor’s degree in theatre direction and a master’s in choreography both degrees from BYU. Kevin spent 6 years as Artistic Director for Draper Historic Theatre where he twice helped the theatre receive recognition by Ivan Lincoln of the Deseret News in his annual “Best of” articles.
He is a former member of Opera West and Mountain West Ballet. His favorite role to date was George Bailey in It’s a Wonderful Life, the Musical. He also has an independent photography business and has been known to teach math classes as well where his students sing and dance their equations.
Kevin is married to the amazing Jennifer McClellan, has two talented grown up stepsons, former Broadway Kidz, Ethan and Cody, 3 year old twins and 1 year old Spencer who have all appeared in BK every year since their birth.
Jill Mueller is a graduate of Linda Fenton Dance Studio and trained in New York at Broadway Dance Center, Steps on Broadway, and American Ballet Theatre. She danced at the University of Utah as she pursued a degree in Art History. She performed solo and principal roles with Utah Junior Ballet, including Swanhilda in Coppelia, Princess January and the Fairy Harmony in Twelve Dancing Princesses, and Carabosse in The Sleeping Beauty. She also performed in Oklahoma! and Peter Pan.
She was a founding member of DanceAdemics, a touring program for elementary schools relating dance to math and literature. Jill has taught ballet, tap, and jazz for two decades and finds enjoyment interacting with students and performers of all ages and stages. She continues to teach weekly classes to students at Linda Fenton Dance Studio.
Her choreography credits include Cinderella, Coppelia, and The Sleeping Beauty with Utah Junior Ballet, and for various festivals and theater productions including The Music Man, Fiddler on the Roof, and The Scarlet Pimpernel. She is proud to be a member of the Broadway Kidz production team, producing and choreographing since 2007, and looks forward to the music and mayhem every year.
Jill has been with Mountain West Ballet since 2008, choreographing for The Nutcracker, Twelve Dancing Princesses, and Cinderella and serving as Artistic Director for the 2011 season including The Sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker.
Jill has been a member of the Board of Directors of both Draper Historic Theatre and Mountain West Ballet and served as a volunteer during the 2002 Salt Lake Olympic Games in several capacities, including backstage and on stage for the Opening Ceremonies. Jill thanks Nathan, Alex, Lauren, and Mitchell for the music and laughter in her life.
